A typical routine examination and treatment will consist of:-
  • A thorough dental examination of the horses head and mouth is performed using a speculum, bright light and mirror.
  • Identification and correction of sharp enamel point and dental overgrowths.
  • Removal of tartar build up.
  • Removal of loose deciduous teeth (caps).
  • Identification of any dental pathology such as diastmata, periodontal disease, fractured teeth, loose teeth, caries, referring to the vet for diagnosis and treatment.
  • A full dental record will be completed and emailed to you with an automated reminder system in place to help maintain regular dental care.
The fee for a routine examination and treatment is £50 per horse if you are within my coverage area.

The correction of more complicated dental abnormalities can be discussed and priced on an individual basis at the time of treatment.

A call out fee of £20 will be charged in the event of being unable to carry out treatment due to horse temperament.

If you are aware that your horse requires sedation during dental treatment please arrange this directly with your vet for the time of your appointment.
